DUNSTAN NEWS
The key points for Alert Level 2 as they apply to schools are:
School is open for all
Students (and staff) who are feeling sick need to stay home.
Contact tracing is in place for all outside visitors and, for visitors, physical distancing should be practised.
Good hygiene practices need to be in place, including hand hygiene, regular cleaning of high touch surfaces and cough/sneeze etiquette.
Schools are exempt from gathering protocols which means no physical distancing is required but staying outside the 'breath zone' needs to be encouraged.
Where we have visitors onsite, and where we are mixing with people/groups from outside the school, gathering protocols do apply.
This means gatherings of more than 100 people, when these gatherings include people from outside school, can't go ahead. Where these gatherings are less than 100, physical distancing must be in place and the above hygiene and tracing protocols also need to be in place.
We are able to run our Year 10 Camps at Alert Level 2. More details will follow for those students involved, although the timeframe for all camps remains the same.
