DUNSTAN NEWS
Last night the Dunstan Girls 1st XV took on Cromwell in the Central Regions Final.
Cromwell started very strong and dominated the beginning of the first half. Summer Liddell was the first try scorer for DHS in a show of personal brilliance and speed followed 5 minutes later by Madie Hill busting through the defence for a classic Madie run away try. Cromwell were leading 19 -12 going into half time.
The second half belonged to Dunstan with tries scored by Dayla Turnball, Madie Hill, and Haylee Harris.
DHS have taken out this competition 3 years in a row which has yet to be done by a team in this competition.
The team would like to thank all their sponsors and supporters who have helped to get them to where they are.
The school would like to thank the coaches Matt Fowler, Fiona King, Mouse O'Neill and manager Tash Kane for all their time that they have put into developing the girls rugby - not only over this season but for several years. A particular mention must go out to Matt and Tash who finish their days driving DHS Girls Rugby. Thank you so much for the mahi you have put into our girls and as members of the DHS Rugby committee. It has been truly appreciated by everyone.
