James Avenell Semester 1 Update
James Avenell Semester 1 Update
James has completed his university studies for Semester 1 and now has his Massey results back.

Results are as follows:

158100 Information Technology Principles A+

160105 Methods of Mathematics A+

247112 Science and Sustainability for ICT - Pass (there is no grading on this paper)

James now has enough credits to study a second year course and has decided to change one of his Semester 2 papers from Introduction to Business Analytics to a 200 level paper.

Semester 2 papers will be:

159236 Embedded Programming (200 level)

159120 Web-based IT Fundamentals

161111 Applied Statistics

With these papers in addition to the two Waikato University papers which James received an A+ on both last year (CompX 101 and CompX 102), he is well on his way to having his first year of Uni study completed with excellent results by the end of this year. He is now looking at applying to Auckland University next year going into second year Computer Science.

James has thoroughly enjoyed taking Outdoor Ed for the last two terms as well participating in The Big Sing, Showquest, choir and hockey and the upcoming school production Oliver!

James still has contact with Dunstan which has been invaluable, he and his parents appreciates the effort that was made to allow James to continue as a part-time student. He is looking forward to the rest of the year and hopefully will get an opportunity to do the OE tramp he missed out earlier.

Added achievements included James receiving his Gold Duke of Ed, as well as his King Scout Award last term!

Congratulations James!
