DUKE of EDINBURGH - Gold Ceremony 2024
Dunstan High School congratulates Isla Nelson, James Avenell and Sofia Druce (DHS graduate 2023) on receiving their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards from the Governor General, Dame Cindy Kiro at Government House on Saturday the 15th of June.

The Gold Award is an prestigious international award that recognises commitment to 12 months of service, physical activity and skills learning. The students had previously achieved their Bronze and Silver awards. All three students also completed the Kepler Track as their adventurous journey. As part of their residential project Sofia completed a 10 day Spirit of Adventure voyage. Isla attended the Future Leaders Academy in the Cook Islands and James participated in Scouting NZ Ventures Ignite Expedition. Alongside his DOE award James also received the KIng Scout Award which is the highest Scouting award and recognises his commitment to the values of the organisation. 

Well done to these students for striving to achieve GOLD.
