On the 7th of June, four netball teams travelled to Dunedin to compete in the Otago Secondary Schools Netball Tournament.

Overall results:

9A: 9th place

10A: 5th place

Senior B: 6th place

Senior A:  8th place

The Year 9s, off to their first Otago Secondary Schools Tournament, put in an awesome effort into their games and enjoyed their time playing together as a team. It was awesome to see these girls working together and they will now be busy training for the South Island Tournament in Christchurch in the holidays.

Year 10s had a great couple of games, and lots of hard work put in by all these girls to gain themselves a very well-earned 5th place. It was awesome to see the support shown by the other teams, and as someone watching from the sidelines, it was awesome to watch them play some great netball. A special thanks to Breens for lending the girls a van to transport them there and back.

Senior B played hard and had some tough games. They enjoyed their time together and performed well as a team. Big thanks to Rewa for lending the team a van for transport! On top of their great performance on the court, they also came away with a well-deserved 1st place in the dessert competition that the four teams held.

Senior A played well against tough competition. It was great to get the whole team working together with some new combinations out on the court. We are still in our growing phase so we were trying out some new things. This led us to a well-deserved 8th place. Thank you to the Aurum Lifestyle Village for allowing us to hire their van.

All round everyone played very well and it was great to see our school represented by such a great bunch of teams!

A big thank you goes out to all the coaches, as well as the managers and umpires. And thank you to all the friends and family for your support on the sidelines!
