Currently in class we are learning about the different types of science investigations we can use in our learning and we are studying this topic in the context of electricity generation. It was fantastic to have this learning experience and resource on our doorstep. Students were taken on a tour of the dam; from the control room to the inside of the dam and right through to turbines where electricity is produced. Our students really enjoyed their learning outside of the classroom and they asked lots of questions. We are very thankful to Contact Energy for allowing us to visit and being our wonderful tour guides.
