I have spent the last term on work placement with Eve O’Brien of the Central Otago Friendship Network. This has involved supporting the Wednesday afternoon community and Thursday lunchtime Dunstan High School Friendship Groups. I have learnt so much in this time that I have spent with them and getting to know them all. I have really enjoyed being able to work beside them and help them with anything. When I leave school I want a job working with people in social support services to help them, so this has been a great opportunity for me to be on this work placement gaining an understanding of what it is like.
