DUNSTAN NEWS
This year we sent two teams to Queenstown to compete in the Torpedo 7 Get to Go Challenge. This was split into three parts for the day. The first part required team work within a pack raft on Lake Wakatipu and the teams had to complete as many laps as possible switching their crew after each lap. The second session saw students on their bikes and again it was a race to see how many laps could be completed in 50 mins with riders switching after each lap. After lunch the final activity was a land based urban Rogaine. This saw teams scattered across the neighbourhood using navigation and problem solving skills in a set time.
The group that went away were great to have and were a credit to our kura as always. If you are interested in this type of event or want to become involved in similar sports such as adventure racing please contact Ms Kelly or Miss Goodrick.
