DUNSTAN NEWS
With the Rangitahi numbers increasing this year, a total of 40 students travelled down and performed a bracket of six waiatas and haka, which we have been putting in the hard work throughout the last year. A haka tautoko was performed to us from around the audience after our performance, which was an honor to receive from schools across Central Otago/Ōtākau, Southland, and Whānau. We are all very proud to be able to represent our kura with such strength through kapa haka and Māori Performing Arts.
Thank you to Matua Johni for consistently putting in his efforts with help from the Uruuruwhēnua rangatahi kaimahi, and to Whaea Shelly for organising ta moko, travel, and support for Matua Johni. Our next performance is in Queenstown week 2 in term 4 with an additional performance for the Alexandra Kāhui Ako Arts Festival.
Kia kaha
Kia māia
kia manawanui
