They spent 8 hours researching and writing a report to answer the following question:

“How many 1 in 100 year extreme weather events can NZ expect to experience over the course of the next decade?”

This year's question was particularly challenging and certainly stretched them, however, all teams managed to complete the competition and submit a report.
