Volunteer South - Celebration Stories
Volunteer South - Celebration Stories
Tell us how much you appreciate your volunteers. National Volunteer Week is 16th-22nd June 2024, and Volunteer South is calling for 'CELEBRATION STORIES' from all volunteer-involving organisations and groups in the Cromwell, Alexandra and surrounding areas.

Celebration Stories is a storytelling opportunity to highlight the theme of "Whiria Te Tangata - Weaving the people together" and a chance to win morning tea for your National Volunteer Week volunteer celebration! It is a fantastic way to publicly celebrate, honour and acknowledge your volunteer team and the impact they make on your organisation and the community.

Stories will be published in the media and our website, and will help raise awareness of your organisation, and the volunteering opportunities you offer, and inspire people in the community to engage with you!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

1. Follow the link below to share the story of why your volunteer team are special, and how they make an impact on the organisation and community. Submissions due by 31st May.

2. Supply at least one high quality image of your volunteers.

3. One winning story will be chosen per area and that volunteer team will be rewarded with a morning tea from a local cafe, and the story will be published in local media.

4. ALL submissions will be shared on our social media, on our website, and also sent to the local apps over the course of a few weeks.  Story-telling is a wonderful way to raise awareness      of your organisation and how it makes a difference, and how volunteers can get involved. We are happy to help you in this process!
