The team played really well together, playing the DHS style of football instituted by our coach, Ian Nicholls. Our stand out player was George Lerew, Year 13. George was always working hard, had several personal best games including a three goal hat trick in the game against Kavanagh College and "gave the team life" when they really needed it (quote Scott Horrell, Vice Captain).  The players are a mixture of Year 9-13 students who are committed to football both within and outside of school, many players playing in the weekly Central Otago Club tournament and helping with coaching younger teams. We are really proud of our 2022 team who stood up well against their opposition and represented DHS proudly.
